about

Appeared on the soundtrack and in the movie of the feature film "The Coldest Kiss", set in 1938-47.
It was reworked by Jason to include less synth/drum and more horns to give a more dated sound for the film. Although Jason's voice is on this album version, for the film version, Jason's voice was replaced by female vocalist Kirsten Snyder to match the look of the female actress in the film who is supposed to be singing it in the scene.

lyrics

You never know when you're not alone
The feeling it's right when it's not at all
There could be someone hiding their face
Waiting in an alley way
Who's wearing a coat that goes down to the ground
You're looking for help but there's no one around
You then see the person whom you already know
You turn back fast and away you go

Turn back fast and go
Answer questions with no
If they catch you, don't go

They tell you your taxes are long overdue
They tell you your friend's in the emergency room
They tell you anything to get you to talk
They'll want to know everything you've bought
The next thing you know they'll be breaking your leg
Letting you know it's revenge for your debt
Sounds like they just want to collect
Is it the mob or the government?

Turn back fast and go
Answer questions with no
If they catch you, don't go
Turn back fast and go
Answer questions with no
If they catch you, turn and go

about

Jason Mysteria Phoenix, Arizona

Jason Mysteria is a 1980's anachronism in music. His synth-pop sound is influenced heavily by genres of the 80's such as New Wave, Top 40 Pop, and R&B Dance. He uses vintage synthesizers & older recording equipment to achieve his signature sound. He does not use "soft synths" (software based virtual instruments). He plays his instruments in real time & does not utilize auto-tune vocal technology. ... more
